Danny "Beetle" Ray Bailey Sr, age 67, of Bolt, West Virginia,  passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at his home.

He was born November 3, 1957 in Glen Fork, West Virginia, a son of  Margie Bailey.

 
Danny worked as a Coal Miner at Peabody (Eastern) Coal for 35 years before he retired. He enjoyed riding his ATV in the mountains and fishing on the banks of the New River. Danny, also, enjoyed canning vegetables and making memories with his grandchildren. He loved his family dearly and left them with many fond memories. 

He will be reunited with his mother, Margie Bailey; brother, Gary Bailey; uncles, Frank Bailey, Howard Bailey,  and Clyde Bailey; and mother of his children and wife of over 20 years, Betty Jean. 

Danny is survived by his son, Danny (Kayla) Ray Bailey Jr of Dameron; daughter, Stephanie (Justin Collins) Bailey of Dameron; grandchildren, Skylar Bailey, Evelynn Bailey, and Cayden Collins; siblings, Steve (Patty) Bailey of Fairdale, Kathy (Greg) Walters of Harper, Christie (Jeff) Adkins of Fayetteville, Avis Rowe of Fairdale; special nephews, Michael (Heather) Bowman of Parma, OH and Timmy (Beth) Bowman of Beckley; and special companion and caregiver, Kathy Wilson. 

The Funeral honoring Danny will be held on Tuesday, July 15th at 2:00 PM in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 12:00 PM and will go until the service time. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, West Virginia.
