David Paul Blank, age 88, of Covel, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born January 21, 1937 in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, a son of Charles and Velma Fern Blank. David married Evelyn Marie Stewart in 2002 and they spent 13 wonderful years together before her passing.

David graduated from East Moreland High School and went straight into his college studies. He attended a few colleges over the years and obtained multiple bachelors and masters degrees. After obtaining his education, David went to work as a government contracted Computer Analyst for the United States Army. Through his work, David got to travel all over the United States and the World. He had traveled to over 12 foreign countries and every State in the US.

After retiring from the US Government, David liked to spend his time gardening. He loved taking the time to slow down and watch his plants grow. David also watched his family history grow. He was an avid user of Ancestry.com and learned as much as he could about his family's background.

David is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Marie Blank; parents, Charles and Velma Blank; grandparents; and his 2 brothers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sandra "Sandy" (Ron) Haugen; grandchildren, Ashley, Joe and his fiance Desirea, and Jacob and his wife Taylor; and 7 great-grandchildren.
