David L Dean Sweazy 84, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on May 18th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 30, 1940 he was the son of the late Melvin, and Hazel Sweazy. In addition to his parents he is greeted at Heaven's gate by his loving wife Sharon L Flanagan, brother Melvin, sisters Sandra, Lois, Barbara, and Dorothy.

Those left behind to forever cherish and hold his memory close are his son Mark(Audrey) Flanagan of Winston Salem, NC, grandson Mark(Brittany) Flanagan Jr. of Pleasant Garden, NC, great-granddaughter Elise Brielle Flanagan, Frank and Margaret Agriesti, great niece Jamie Beekman, great great nieces Breanna, and Jessa, and many other extended family and friends who will all miss David dearly.

David was an avid sports fan, always rooting for his beloved big three teams, the WVU Mountaineers, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals. David was a professional bowler, and worked for many years of his life as a pin setter, and master technician, at many local bowling alleys. David was a Christian man as well, always enjoying spreading God's love and testament to anyone he met.

A funeral service will take place for Mr. Sweazy on Wednesday May 29th, 2024 at 1:00pm with Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. The family will accept friends beginning at 12 noon. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley.
