Dennis Jene Pettry,76, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026.

Dennis "Pooch" Pettry was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors. He loved producing a beautiful garden every year and he loved his family.

Dennis was a proud army veteran who served in Vietnam as well.

He has went home to be with the Lord and his daughter Perina Pettry.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his 2 sons Jake and Dewayne, numerous grandchildren (Christopher "Cody" Stevens, Natasha Stevens, Ashton Pettry, Hayden Pettry, Lance Pettry, Logan Pettry, and Brantley Pettry), great grand children(Annistyn Stevens, RJ Dawson, Nicholai Stevens and Scarlett Dawson), his brothers (Billy Pettry and Randy Pettry), sisters ( Flora Clay, Rosie Alderman and Sandy Beckner) and countless nephews and nieces who all knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service Honoring Dennis will be held on Wednesday, February 11th at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Sundial, West Virginia at 2 pm with Pastor James Dickens officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Hill Up Cemetery in Naoma, WV.
