Destiny Angela Coleman Obituary

Our beloved Destiny passed away unexpectedly May 17, 2024 at home following her illness. Destiny was newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She spent this last year in and out of hospitals battling her sickness, but still with a beautiful smile on her face not giving up.

She enjoyed being the "little" sister, even though she was the tallest. Her favorite things to do was ride horses and be with her best friends James and Lala. But mostly her favorite thing was being an aunt to the most handsome boy Liam Xavier. He was her pride, and her joy. Destiny and Liam loved going to the park and playing with his trucks and Dino's. She was so full of life. Destiny could just light up a whole room with her personality, she had the sweetest soul.

Destiny was born at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, North Carolina. She absolutely loved traveling and couldn't wait to spend her 18th birthday at the beach. Destiny will be unbelievably missed by so many.

Destiny is survived by her mother Kimberly Settle of Water View Va, Her father Jerry Blevins Jr, Cara Coleman and her little brother Bodhi Blevins of Mabscott WV, Her sister Shayla, and nephew Liam Blevins of Beckley WV, Her brother Justin and fiancé Jana of Ipswich, MA, and her best friend Jay Ford of Mabscott WV. Destiny also leaves behind so many friends and close cousins.

Destiny's Services will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at 4:00pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. The family will accept friends from 2-4pm. Arrangements entrusted to Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center who are honored to serve the family. Words of comfort and condolences may be shared with the family online by visiting her tribute page at www.meltonmortuary.com.
