Dewey Curtis Adkins

Dewey Curtis Adkins, 85 of Coal City, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Pine Lodge in Beckley, West Virginia.

Dewey was born October 31, 1937 in JonBen, West Virginia, a son of Brady and Bonnie (Wills) Adkins. In addition to his parents Dewey is preceded in death by his brothers Bob, Homer, Clifton, Darrell, and one sister Pat.

Those left behind to cherish and hold Dewey's memory close include his brothers Harold(Sharon) Adkins of Martinsburg WV, and Orville(Norma) Adkins of Pennsylvania, and sister in law Martha Adkins of Beckley WV, special friend and caregiver Brenda Hope of Coal City WV, best friend Buddy Sexton of JonBen, WV and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will all miss him dearly.

Dewey was a hard worker and always had a can do attitude, He was a member of the Beckley Moose Lodge 1606 and enjoyed going to the lodge to spend time and socialize with his fraternal brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will take place for Dewey at 12:00 on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center Chapel. Friends and Family may call one hour prior to the service, interment will follow at the Coal City Community Cemetery in Coal City.
