On Thursday, April 30th, 2026, Diane Robyn Kelley passed from this life into her eternal home. She was 74 years of age.
Born on October 13th, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Gene Blair and Dorothy Laura Loughlin Kelley. She had a younger brother named Russell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, Russell Paul and Pauline Kelley and Charles Ellsworth and Marie Elizabeth Smith Loughlin.
Robyn as she was known throughout her life, grew up in the Rock/Matoaka area of Mercer county. Her parents were the proprietors of Kelley's Store at Rock where local young people would go buy pop and candy.
A 1969 honor graduate of Matoaka High School, Robyn matriculated at Concord College in Athens West Virginia where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Robyn would further her studies enrolling in the Federal Aviation Center at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City near the Will Rogers World Airport and had a long career as an air traffic controller.
A member of the Church of the Sacred Heart, in more recent years she was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill.
The Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 6th at 11:00 am in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. The Rite of Committal will be in the St. Sebastian Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at 10:00 am.
