Donald Withrow Obituary
Donald Wayne Withrow, age 67, of Scarbro, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19, 2026 after a long battle with illness.
Donald was born February 2, 1959 in Oak Hill, West Virginia, a son of James and Clara Withrow. He married the love of his life, Linda Lou Naylor on August 6th, 1977. Together they built a family on a foundation of love. Donald and Linda spent 48 years together before he went home to Heaven.
Donald worked as a Bus Driver and Mechanic. He lived many stories driving that bus all over the country. Donald drove the Charlotte Hornets, NASCAR Executives, tourists for Philip Morris, and many other driving jobs. His family fondly recalls Donald driving a bus around the Charlotte Racetrack (which he wasn't supposed to do but they let him get away with). Donald filled his life with stories. The day wasn't complete until Donald gave you a smile and a laugh.
The most important thing in Donald's life is his family. His home was always filled with children's laughter from the time him and Linda got married. They spent many years bonding and raising their nieces and nephews. This made family bonds that were strong as steel. Together, Donald and Linda welcomed 3 boys of their own into the home: Christopher, Josh, and Nick. Christopher went to heaven at an early age and now his dad has joined him for his first father's day in Heaven.
Donald is reunited in Heaven with his parents, James and Clara Withrow; son, Christopher Withrow; and his three sisters.
Those left to cherish Donald's memory are his wife, Linda Withrow; sons, Josh Withrow and Nick Withrow; grandbabies, Savannah and Brooke; sister, Carolyn Sue Withrow; and many special nieces, nephews, family, and friends who love and miss him.
The family extends a special thanks to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, especially the PCAs Mandi and Raven.
In accordance with Donald's wishes, there will be no formal services. Melton Mortuary has the honor of serving the family. Messages of support and condolences can be left on the Melton Mortuary website.
