Obituary
Dorothy Mae Bowman, age 70, of Pine Branch section of Glen Daniel, WV, went to be with her Lord on the 25th day of August 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Doff and Lily Cook Young and her brothers Charles and Tommy.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years and 11 months, Johnny C. Bowman; 2 brothers, Doff (Buddy) and Johnny; 2 sisters, Evelyn Lucas and Thelma Carpenter; 8 nieces and 6 nephews.
Dorothy was the hugger in our family and she never forgot anyone's birthday or anniversary, you always got a phone call that day and a card covered with lovely stickers. She loved all her family and many, many friends and was loved by them.
Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center has been entrusted with cremation arrangements and are honored to serve the family.
