Douglas G. Butler

Douglas G. Butler, 55 of Dorothy, WV, passed away April 10,2021 at the Bowers Hospice House with his family by his side. He was born August 4,1965. 

He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence (Buddy) Butler; mother Eleanor (Burgess) Butler; sister Frances Moses; and his brother Ted Butler.

He is survived by his wife Donna of 30 years; son Joshua and special friend Clarence Jr. Of Oak Hill, WV; daughter Brittany and her companion Robert of Rock Creek, WV; son Douglas ( Dougie) Jr. of Dorothy, WV and JoAnna McGraw who he thought of as a daughter-in-law of Dorothy, WV; grandchildren Brooklyn, Jaxon, Jaycee, and Dove; sister Abby and her fiancé Dave of Toneys Fork, WV and a very special cousin Peggy Parks. He also leaves behind lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

The family would like to thank Hospice. Even though you was only in our lives for a short period of time, everything you done to make Doug as comfortable as possible and to help fulfill his wishes on certain matters, is very much appreciated.

He didn’t want any services. His wishes were to be cremated, so we will only be doing graveside rights, at Ewings Creek Family Cemetery at a later date.

Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.
