Douglas Daniels

Douglas Lee Daniels, son of Jo Lee Quesenberry Daniels and Robert Daniels, passed away peacefully after a long illness on March 27, 2023. Doug is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bobby Daniels; sister, Jody Daniels; and niece, Lisa Daniels as well as his both sets of grandparents.

Doug was a friend to everyone and always greeted you with his beaming smile. His laugh was so contagious that you couldn’t help but join in. Doug loved his grandsons Warner and Wesley more than anyone and was a big fan of their soccer careers. You would always know Grandpa Dougie would be on the soccer fields cheering on his grandsons while sitting on his signature red cooler.

Doug is survived by his daughter Megan and son-in-law Chris and grandsons Warner and Wesley Buell. Sister-in-law Patty Beard Daniels and great niece, Emily Daniels, and a host of people who loved him! Doug loved and adored Megan, Chris, and the boys. He loved nothing more than spending time with them and sharing fun moments at the beach, in the mountains and a host of soccer tournaments.

Graveside services will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, Friday, May 26 at 1:00 PM. To honor Doug, please send donations to the Beckley Area Foundation, ​Woodrow Wilson Class of 1952 ​Memorial Fund in honor of his mother Jo Lee Daniels whom he adored.
