Edna Allen

Edna Allen (Big) of Fairdale, WV passed away at the Bowers Hospice House on September 03, 2023 following a beautiful life.

Edna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Allen, her parents John and Minnie Acord of Bolt, WV. Edna was one of 11 children and was preceded in death by: Charles Quarles, Dewey Quarles, Betty Quarles-Collins, "Little" Jimmy Dickens, Frank Acord, Bill Acord, Helen Acord, and Myrtle Acord-Goff.

Surviving sisters include Quanita Quarles-Cox of Ohio and Shirley (Dumpy) Acord-Allen of Fairdale. She was also survived by her daughter Carrie Allen-Clemons and her husband Eric of Fairdale, her son Hobert Allen of Fairdale, and son James and wife Patty Allen of Rock Creek. She was survived by her grandchildren Jason, Melinda, Michael, Melissa, Brad, Garrett, Kate, Kaleb, and Allison and great-grandchildren Jackson, Tyler, Antonio, Donovan, Eli, Mili, and Bear.

A promise made is a promise kept, mom's wish was no funeral or visitation. There will be a small family gathering for graveside rights, the time and date will be announced at a later time. Burial will be at Edgar Allen Cemetery in Fairdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Bowers Hospice House, in memory of Edna Allen.
