Elizabeth “Libby” Herdman, 68, of Celina, Tennessee, went home to Jesus on August 28, 2021.
Libby was born to George and Harriet Wesley on December 14, 1952 in Glen Rogers, West Virginia. She grew up in “The Villa” in Huber Heights, Ohio, where she met her husband, Terry Herdman. Libby and Terry married on May 10, 1975 and enjoyed 46 years together.
Libby joins in Heaven her parents George & Hattie Wesley; her parents-in-law Edwin & Frances Herdman; her brother Robert Wesley; and brother-in-law Wallace York. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Terry Herdman of Tennessee; her children Justin & Carol Herdman of Ohio and Jennifer & Doug McFarland of Virginia; her siblings Doris Jean York, Ellen & William Ricciardi, George & Karen Wesley, all of West Virginia, Victoria & Michael Helton of Florida; her sisters and brother-in-law Ruth & Craig Pritt, and Reba Wesley, all of Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
The family would like to especially thank niece Wendy O’Neal for providing comfort to Libby in her final days, as well as family friends Aquila and Ali J for their special bond with Libby.
In addition to her dedication as a loving mother, wife, sister, and daughter, Libby will be remembered as the life of the party with a unique ability to light up any room she entered. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center Chapel. A funeral service celebrating Libby’s life led by Chaplain Harold Milam will begin at 1 pm with interment to follow services at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
