Ella May Baker

Ella May Baker, age 80, of Glen Daniel, West Virginia, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born August 28, 1944 in McAlpin, West Virginia, a daughter of Roma and Maggie Osborne. Ella married the love of her life, William Baker and they spent 17 years together before his passing.

Ella loved life and made friends easily. She enjoyed traveling (especially with her buddy Linda Osborne), listening to country music, crafting, and reading. She was always ready with a quick wit response and lots of common sense. She faced many hard battles in her life with grace and courage. She is now at peace with her Savior.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Baker; parents, Roma and Maggie Osborne; brothers, Harold, Clair, Derl, Kenneth, and Oscar Osborne; sister, Trilla Shrewsbury; and children, Deborah Booker, Brian Allen, and Karen Kidd.

Ella is survived by her siblings, Earl Osborne, Rita Elswick, and Mary Webb; grandchildren, Ashley Allen, Kristi Allen, Christoper Allen, Sarah Madison, Lauren Booker, Matthew Kidd, and Keeley Kidd; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Ella will be cremated and a memorial will be held in her honor at a later date.
