Everett Ross Hartshorn, age 50, of Bolt, West Virginia, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia.
Everett was born April 10, 1974 in Beckley, West Virginia, a son of the late Lennie Earl and Donna Jean Whipkey Hartshorn. He married the love of his life, Rachel Michelle Hartshorn (Jackson) on August 1, 1998 at Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church. Everett was raised in Bolt, WV and in Calhoun County WV graduating from Calhoun County High school class of 1992. He attend WVU graduated with honors obtaining his bachelor's degree in pharmacy, and had been employed as a pharmacist for Rite Aid, then opened Glen Daniel Pharmacy with Mel Jamison.
He is survived by his loving wife Michelle, his two daughters, Josie Elizabeth Jean and Emma Rachelle Hartshorn of Bolt, WV. He is also survived by his brother Lennie Hartshorn, sisters Pam (Bobby) Daniel, Melody (Rick) Worrells, and April (Jeff) Prunty. His in-Laws, Ted and Jean Jackson and sister/brother in-law Sarah(Dave)Hill.
He was a great Uncle to Staci (Ricky) Stover, Denise (Brian) Worley, Shannon (Judy) Daniels, Megan (Doug) Marohl, Mendy (Michael) Helvey, Kevin(Breanne) Worrells. Many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by Lennie Earl Hartshorn III, and Heather Hartshorn.
Special friends, Brad and Andrea Fraley, Danny and Amanda Morris, Aaron and Gina Siwicki, and Ed and Mandy Blaschke.
Everett enjoyed being a MacGyver fixing anything that broke or could be fixed and being his wife's pool boy. He enjoyed working as a pharmacist serving his community and working with his wonderful staff.
He truly enjoyed hunting with his buddies, taking his girls out hunting for the big bucks, fishing, and just being outside on the farm. He loved his girls with all his heart supporting them in everything they participated in from being an awesome volleyball, softball dad to supporting his daughter wrestle. You could say his biggest accomplishment was his family he loved them with his whole heart.
A funeral service will take place for Everett on Monday August 19, 2024 at 1:00pm in the Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Corey Brooks, Pastor Garry Hall, and Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. The family will accept friends beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center who are honored to serve the family during this difficult time.
