Forrest Browning Obituary
Forrest Ray Browning, age 80, of Glen Morgan, West Virginia, gained his heavenly wings Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Bowers Hospice House located in Beckley, West Virginia.
Forrest was born October 31, 1941 in Tams, West Virginia, a son of the late Earl and Ethel Browning. He was married to the love of his life, Mildred Browning for 58 years. Forrest was a patriot, and proud US Army veteran, a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA. Forrest was a Nascar fan and loved the WVU Mountaineers, when he wasn't watching the game or a race he could be found outdoors hunting or fishing with his boys.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Mildred Browning. Children; Stanley Ray of Bradley WV, Kevin Lee (Melissa) of Newport TN and Bryan Keith (Betty) of Crab Orchard WV. Grandchildren; Rebecca, Kari Forren, Joshua, Kevin Jr. and Ryan Ann Knop; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will all miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother Robert, and sisters Barbara Meadows and Ina Fitzgerald.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Morgan Miller for being such great friend and caregiver in his time of need. Also a special thank you to Bowers Hospice House of Beckley for the wonderful care they provided.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM followed by a Graveside Service at Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor James Johnson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bowers Hospice House of Beckley West Virginia in lieu of flowers.
