Frankie Lee Snuffer was born on May 26, 1948, in Eccles, West Virginia to the late Frank and Ella Marie (Honaker) Snuffer. He passed away on September 22, 2020, in Beckley, West Virginia at the age of 72.
Frankie is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Norma Lafferty and Barbara Plourde; his aunt Jewel Bennet and Uncle Eugene Honaker; and nephews David Plourde and Jasper Chambers Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Xenia Snuffer; children, Sean Snuffer, Kristi Case, Shane Snuffer, and Melinda Lester; grandchildren, Colby Case, Christopher Snuffer, Connor Snuffer, Wayne Lester, and Carolyn Lester; siblings, Shirley Riggsby and Louise Chambers, and several nieces and nephews and friends from the VA.
An honorable man and devoted patriot who gave his life and his service to God, family, and country. Spending time with his grandchildren and making difficult times easier was his passion. Frankie liked to hunt and tell stories about his military experiences. He was a man of few words but much wisdom who will be greatly missed. Heaven gained a beautiful soul.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Beckley, WV at 12:00 Noon. Military honors will be rendered by the Mercer County Veteran's Honor Guard Team. Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center has the honor of serving the family.
