Gary Basham Obituary
Gary Edward Basham, 49 of Blountville Tennessee formerly of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, May 26th, 2023 after a long illness at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Gary is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Basham, and a brother Johnny Basham, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Those left behind to forever hold and cherish his memory close include his mom Laura Barkey, mother Reva Basham, four brothers Jimmy Basham Jr, Steven(Rachel) Basham, Donny Basham, and Eric(Drina) Basham, two sisters Kimberly Barkey, and Tiffany Barkey, loyal canine companion Rusty, lifelong best friend Kim St Clair, and many other extended family and friends who will all miss Gary dearly.
Gary was a jack of all trades, always tinkering, building, and helping friends, and family with many different building projects. He enjoyed the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also an avid WVU fan, always rooting for the Blue and Gold no matter win or loss.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Per Gary's wishes cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center with no formal services.
