George Douglas Wiley Sr., went home to be with the Lord on March 13th, 2026. He was the son of the late Albert Wiley and Clara Richards Wiley.

He was preceded in death by his wife Drusela Wiley.

He is survived by a sister Faye Fraley of Slab Fork, WV, one brother Donnie Ray Wiley of Slab Fork, WV, two sons George D. Wiley II of Georgia, and Christopher Wiley of Texas, two daughters, Naomi L Perry of Pennsylvania, and Vickie Stumbo of Marion, VA. He had three grandsons whom he loved and cherished very much, Austin L Perry, Brantlee E Perry, and Coltin L Perry as well as several nieces and nephews.

Alongside his family he was very active in his church as a sunday school teacher at Old Grove Chapel. He was very committed to his faith in the Lord. After his beloved wife Drusela Wiley passed he found comfort in his church sister Donna Gilliam who was there for him every step of his journey in faith, learning to live alone, and grieve. He was blessed to have a best friend like her.

Our family and his friends are at peace knowing that when God opened the gate for him he was smiling in pure happiness and no more pain.
