Georgia Kay Atha, age 74, passed away peacefully, March 23, 2020 due to a long-term illness. She was born September 3, 1945 to George and Rosa-Thala Blankenship. She married Lowell Thomas Atha. All who have preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Marsh Fork High and a life-long member of Mattsville Community Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Georgia is also preceded in death by her in-laws Walter and Edith Atha, sister June Clay, and brother Bill Blankenship. She is survived by her sisters Lois Aliff, Phyllis Dillon, and Ruth Lovely; daughters and husbands; Mellissa and Robert Athey; and daughter Vickie and Aaron England; grandchildren Stacey and husband Kenny; Robbie Athey; April and husband Rocky; Jessica Athey; Zane and wife Alexa England; Sydney and husband Garrett Clyburn; Zoe England; Ace England; great-grandchildren Jordan and Keith Tolliver; Lincoln England; Little Rocky, Nicole, and Audrea Davis. And very special friends Mike and Rita Jones, and Tim Tolliver.
Graveside service Friday 27th at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park.
