Gerald Jerry Bailey Obituary

Gerald (Jerry) Bailey, 84, of Beckley sadly left us on March 5, 2023 following a short illness.

Son of the late Earl and Maye Bailey of Beckley, Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Janet Bailey.

Left to cherish his memory are Keith (Kathy) Bailey of Beckley; Judy Smith of Beckley; and Eddie (Sherry) Bailey of Welcome, NC; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren are also left to cherish memories of him.

Jerry was an antique car enthusiast and a wonderful mechanic. He was known for being a hardworking man, working up until the age of 82 at Bailey’s Auto Repair. His passion was nice cars and his motorcycles. He enjoyed traveling to antique car shows and spending time with his family. Jerry was a loyal member of The Beckley Moose Lodge.

Jerry wanted to be cremated with no services. The family is going to honor his wishes. If you would like to donate to an organization in honor of Jerry, please send donations to the Raleigh County Humane Society.
