Hannah Snuffer

Hannah Snuffer, 18, passed away early Thursday morning, May 28, 2020 following a long illness while under Hospice care.

Ms. Snuffer was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and friend.  

She was born on December 28, 2001 in Charlotte, NC, the beloved daughter of Ryan and Kellie Snuffer.

Hannah was a loving and compassionate person. Though she battled a lifelong illness, her gentleness, courage, and quiet strength won the hearts of family, friends, and acquaintances far and wide. Hannah’s personal faith in Jesus Christ gave her peace and strength to face her unique challenges. Her beautiful smile could light up one’s soul.

An accomplished fiddler and cook, she loved attending music festivals, jamming with friends, and serving so many her culinary masterpieces. She played her violin at many venues including weddings, memorials, and funerals. Her gourmet meals and treats were in high demand.

Her love for animals and nature was evidenced through her kindness to her precious pets and animals everywhere, as well as her gentle interactions with God’s handiwork. Her deep love for family, friends, and acquaintances was seen in her quiet service – giving gifts, cooking meals, playing music, offering massages and encouraging words. She inspired others to be better.

She was survived by her brother, Luke Snuffer, 14; both of her parents, her maternal grandparents, Dr. Ron and Linda Green; her paternal grandfather, Randy Snuffer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is now in the presence of her Lord with her paternal grandmother, Frances Snuffer.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew, loved, and were inspired by her.

The family had a private ceremony and plan for a public celebration of Hannah’s life at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, Hannah requested that donations be made to the Humane Society of Raleigh County.
