Harry Dale Stover

Harry Dale Stover of Stover WV, was at the young age of 73, born on June 24, 1949 in Pettus West Virginia. He was the son of the late Horace and Maxine Stover, passed away on Monday March 13, 2023 after a sudden illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brother's Tommy Stover and Joe Stover, In-laws Reverend James W. and Ada Bower.

Harry was a graduate of Trap Hill High School in 1969. He Married the love of his life Ada Jane Bower on April 11, 1970, they would have celebrated their 53rd anniversary this April.

Harry worked faithfully as a coal miner for 42 years ending as a General Mine Foreman at Harris #1 mine. He was an avid fisherman spending time at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. Harry had a passion for riding his tractor mowing grass and grooming his lawn, raising chickens that produced Blue Ribbon eggs, deer hunting, feeding his pig Denzel sweets and petting his loyal dogs Weego and Diesel. Everyone who met Harry was left with a smile over his witty jokes and sarcastic comments. To have had the pleasure of knowing him was a blessing, but to have been a part of his life meant he'd give you the shirt off his own back, just no tip $.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Ada Jane Stover, his boys Clifton (Lorna) Stover, Randall (Andria) Stover, Drew (Latasha) Stover and Wiley Stover, and Brother Jimmie (Helen) Stover. Harry had several grand children and great grand children of which he cherished, as well as many other family members and friends. Harry had lifelong friends but two special ones Tommy Steel (PT) and Jarrett Cline. Also Jackie Campbell and her son Jack that was always there when Harry needed her.

For the family and friends of Harry Stover, we will be having a small gathering Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the auxiliary building behind Arnett Chapel at 1:00 p.m. If you need any additional information, you're welcome to contact Jackie Campbell or one of the other family members. The address for the memorial is 4472 Coal River Road, Arnett, WV, 25007. The church is directly across from Arnett post office. Follow the driveway on the right side of the church to get to the building out back.
