Harvey Joseph, born November 5, 1952, to Wanda and Nathan Joseph, passed away surrounded by the love and legacy of a life deeply rooted in family, service, and devotion.
Harvey proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy SEALs from 1971 to 1973, a commitment that reflected his strength, discipline, and sense of duty. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work to Tyson Foods, where he was employed from 1987 until becoming disabled in 2004.
Outside of work, Harvey found his greatest joy in the simple moments spent with those he loved most. He cherished time with his family, whether it was going fishing, riding the back roads, or target practicing with his grandsons. These moments were where his laughter lived and where lasting memories were made.
Harvey was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Kolakowski, and stepfather, James Kolakowski; his father, Nathan Joseph, and stepmother, Wanda Joseph; as well as many beloved aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Janet Joseph; his five children, listed from youngest to oldest: Keith Joseph, Miranda Joseph, Shanda Stone, Shane Joseph, and Michael Joseph; and his two grandsons whom he helped raise and loved deeply, Kendrik Edwards and Ethan Edwards. He is also survived by his brother, Nathan Joseph; his sisters, Helen Joseph and Jill Joseph-Jones; along with nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy.
Services for Harvey Joseph will be held at Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center. Friends and family may gather at 11:00 a.m., the visitation will be open to the public at 12:00 p.m., and the service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Harvey will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his service to his country, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in every shared story, every road traveled, and every moment spent together.
