Hatty Faye Ormandy Wickline

Hatty Faye Ormandy Wickline, 96, of Beckley, WV passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025, with her four daughters by her side. She was born April 23, 1929, in Beckley, WV to the late William and Lydia Ormandy.
She married the love of her life Ernest on January 14, 1948 and together they raised their family in the home she grew up in on Miller Street in Beckley. Memorial Baptist Church began as a mission in this same home when Hatty was a child and she remained devoted to the church throughout her life, becoming its last surviving charter member.
Hatty loved the Lord, her family, her church, sitting on her back porch enjoying her flowers and hummingbirds, the Beckley Flying Eagles, playing bingo, and spending time with her friends. She volunteered as assistant treasurer at Memorial Baptist Church and co-hosted the Lydia Ormandy Bible Study with her dear friend Patsy Houck. She cherished her time with this group.
Throughout her life she was employed at Beckley Manufacturing, the West Virginia State Tax Office, and the Raleigh County Assessor's Office.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Ernest Wickline; her brother and sister-in-law William and Jean Ormandy; sisters and brothers-in-law Jenny and Fred Allen, Ruth and Cecil Hamrick, Mary and Andy Molina; a baby brother "Little Bud"; mother and father in law George and Ellen Wickline; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Everett and Orlena Wickline, Jean and Grady Glover, Herndon Wickline, Donald Wickline; and a grandson Larry Christopher Rogar.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Jeannie and Larry Rogar of Lanark, Debbie and Mike Goddard of Beckley, Terri and David Rogar of Mabscott, Lydia and Rick Tankersley of Daniels.
Grandchildren Michele Sarrett and husband Street, Jeff Goddard and wife Adrienne, Christy Gallaher and husband Kevin, Amy Lawrence and husband Rick, Christopher Rogar and wife Joanna, Tara Robinson, Nicholas Tankersley, Cody Tankersley and wife Rebecca Monahan.
Great-grandchildren Madeline, Mackenzie, and Macy Sarrett; Emily, Sam, and Ansley Goddard; Lillian and Declan Thacker; Hailey and Andrew Gallaher; Jack and Ellen Lawrence; Kaitlyn and Isaac Rogar; Ryker Robinson; Walden Monahan-Tankersley.
Kayla Smith, whom Hatty lovingly referred to as her fifth daughter.
Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Darrold and Mary Wickline, Margie Wickline and Jane Wickline.
A host of nieces and nephews whom she truly loved.
Special caregivers and friends Dianna, Angela, Linda, Starla, and Nancy.
The family would like to thank the staff at Greystone for their care over the last few years and for their support to the family in her final hours.
Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 4th at Memorial Baptist Church, Beckley, WV. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the funeral.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
