Heather Susan Hughes ' Heather Sue', age 53, of Shady Spring, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 in Beckley, West Virginia.

Heather Sue was born September 05, 1971 in Beckley, a daughter of Vicki Lynn (Elswick) Hughes. She grew up in Lanark, WV attended Mount Hope High School and spent most of her career as a CNA and caregiver. When Heather Sue wasn't working, she found great joy in flower gardening and container gardening.

She is survived by her only son, Trevor Joseph Hughes and his wife Sarah Santa Maria of Shady Spring, WV; a granddaughter on the way; brother Joseph Elswick; niece Tiona Hopkins; and her favorite cockapoo, Beau.

Heather Sue is preceded in death by her mother and her sister Krystal Elswick.

The family will receive friends for visitation 12:00-2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. A Celebration of Heather Sue's life will begin at 2:00 pm.
