Henry Dale Hughart, 69 of Daniels, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 14th, 2023, at Bower's Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 17th, 1954 in Beckley, West Virginia, the only child of the late Henry H. Hughart, and Margaret Virginia Hicks-Hughart.
In addition to his parents he is greeted at the rainbow bridge by his two loving fur babies Joey and Bobby, so they can make their entrance into Heaven's gates.
Those left behind to cherish and forever hold his memory close are his loving wife of 33 years Sarah, daughters Stephanie(Shane) Obrien and Sierra Richmond and her fiance William Webb, grandson Ethan Obrien, loving and special mother in law Betty Berry, sister in law Ginger(Sam) Wright, several cousins, special one Ramona Sandoval, and many other extended family and friends who will all miss Dale dearly.
Dale worked at the WV Dept. of Highways for 34 years retiring as a county administrator for Raleigh County where he made many friends, and colleagues. He was an avid golfer, always enjoying different courses throughout southern West Virginia, he would always joke that when he passed away that he had "finished the course". He was a fan of Gunsmoke, and enjoyed watching his beloved Philadelphia Philies whether win or lose. His favorite time by far though was coaching Sierra in softball alongside John Davis, Harold Snodgress, Joe Robertson, and Daniel Chapman. He was a devout christian man, and was a longtime member of the New Life Baptist Church at White Oak, WV. He was a very giving man, and according to his family the best dad, and pawpaw ever.
The family would like to offer special thanks to his friend and neighbors David and Barbara French who were always there when needed, to the staff at Centerwell Home Health, to New Life Baptist Church and Pastor Rodney and Pat Allen, and all of his church family, and to Dr Kelly Pitsenbarger, and staff in his private practice, as well as at Bowers Hospice House for all of their compassion and care during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Bowers Hospice House, or New Life Baptist Church in White Oak, WV in Dale's memory.
In keeping with Dale's wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center, with no formal services scheduled.
