Howard Kevin Peters, 58, of Sandlick, West Virginia, passed away on July 16, 2025. He was born on May 3, 1967, in Sandlick to the late Paris and Hallie Atha Peters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Howard is survived by two brothers and five sisters. Left to forever cherish his memory are his four children: Lacie, Joshua, Emily, and Danny, whom he loved deeply. He was fondly known as "Papaw Beard" to his nine beautiful grandchildren.

Howard was a proud West Virginia Mountaineers fan who especially loved basketball and football. He enjoyed listening to music, riding four-wheelers, and hunting. He filled his days with simple joys, including long talks with his daughter Lacie.

Howard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family finds comfort in knowing that "Country Roads Take Me Home" was playing as he entered his eternal home.

The family will have a private memorial service at the family cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center.
