I Never Got to Say Goodbye
by John F. Connor
Wish I could go back to the day
When angels came and took you away
I wanted to hold your hand so tight
Kiss you gently and say goodnight
And then just before you had to go
I would tell you how much I love you so
I don’t know how I don’t know why
I never got the chance to say goodbye…
Per Irene’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. She will be laid to rest with her late husband Gene at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 am. Words of comfort may be offered to the family by visiting www.meltonmortuary.com
