Jack Sizemore Obituary

Jack L. Sizemore, age 86, of Beckley, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 31, 2024, after battling a short illness.

Born on August 30, 1937, in Charles Town, WV, to the late Arthur G. Sizemore and Sylvia Martin Sizemore, of Ury, WV.

Jack served his country for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Cabot Oil & Gas Co. in 1997. He was married to his loving wife Margaret Sanna Sizemore for 42 years.

He is survived by his goddaughter, Savannah Smelcer, spouse Wesley and their children CrystaLynne, Hank and Cheyenne of Tennessee. Other survivors include friends, Cindi Turner, spouse Kenneth, their two sons Ethen and Carsen of Oklahoma, the Ron Lubich family, and his beloved Grace Baptist Church family that he was a member of and faithfully attended. We realize Jack's journey would have been impossible without the strong faith he had in the Lord, the love and support of his loving Tennessee and Oklahoma families, his many special friends, and his wonderful church family. He dearly loved and cherished them all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife.

Jack was a strong willed, kindhearted, generous man, that always thought of others and helped everyone in any way possible. He definitely will be loved and missed by all that had the honor of knowing him.

His faithful volunteer duties included working at Bible Baptist Mission Center and Nimitz Missionary Baptist Church assembling scriptures of all different languages that were distributed all over the world. He also worked in the warehouse at Fishes and Loaves assembling boxes for sending food out to the needy. Also included in his volunteer time he devoted 10 years of service to the Bowers Hospice House, by honoring the veteran patients with a special pinning service and certificate for their duties in the military.

Jack wanted to leave his expression of much kindness, appreciation and gratitude to his church family for all the help, food, cards, transportation, special attention and many prayers that they showed him through this difficult time. Each and every endeavor of thoughtfulness will be cherished in his heart forever.

Leaving behind to one very true friend, Ron Lubich, who ran many errands for me and transported me to every appointment I had, I would like to say, 'Thank you, dear Ron and May God Bless.'
