James Edward Bias II


James Edward Bias II, 45, of Beckley, WV passed away on March 3, 2025. Born on September 7, 1979 in Charleston, WV, he was a 1998 graduate of Van Junior-Senior High School. Jim would not want to be defined only by his mistakes, and he was a friend of Bill W.

Jim was predeceased by many, including: his father, James Bias; brother, Eric Bias; paternal grandparents, Cody and Lilly Bias; and maternal grandparents, Goff and Mary Vance.

Jim is now at peace, and his memory will be held close by his mother, Gwendolyn Bias, his sister, Talitha Vanke (her husband, Troy, and their son, Elijah), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service is graciously arranged by Melton Mortuary in Beckley, WV on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 and will be ministered by Leon Brush. The Memorial Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm and go until the Celebration of Life Service begins at 6:00 pm. His final resting place will be with his brother at Memory Gardens in Low Gap, WV.
