James Carter Obituary

James Anthony Carter, 65 of Beckley went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17, 2021. He was the son of the late Jesse and Sylvia (Williams) Carter Sr.

He was born in Northfork, West Virginia on August 22, 1956.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his older brother Kenneth, other relatives.

James is survived by his daughter Alesha Carter of Snellville, GA; three grandchildren Kevin, Jackson and Alyssa, siblings Sandra, Mike and Jesse, and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him.

Anyone who knew James knew of the pride he took in being of service to other veterans working at the VA Hospital and his lifelong love of music and fishing, which brought peace durng difficult times.
