James Robert (Jimmy) Hurt 63, of Coal City, died Monday, April 27th, 2020 at his home following a sudden illness. Born March 16th, 1957 in Beckley he was the son of the late James and Margaret Hurt.
James was a Coal Miner and a Long Wall Miner operator. He was also a Carpenter who did house remodeling. He loved spending time with friends and family, camping, gambling, and his Budweiser. He loved his dogs Harley and Sugarbear.
Besides his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Warden.
He is survived by; one son, Eric Hurt and his wife Tara of Coal City, one daughter, Aimee Beale and husband Marcus of Roanoke, VA, one sister, JoAnne Austin and her husband Ray of Coal City, and brother-in-law Carl Warden of Coal City. Jimmy was a proud papaw to Wyatt, Vivian, and Elliot Beale, Cody, and Dalton Cifton. Five Nieces and nephews and their families also survive.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
