Janet Marlene (Farley) Leach

On Monday, November 8th ,2021, Janet M. Leach,85, passed away at the Arthur B. Hodges Center in Charleston, West Virginia. She was born at Trap Hill on February 6,1936 and grew up in Lester, West Virginia.

Janet graduated as valedictorian of her class at the former Trap Hill High School and later earned degrees from Concord College and Marshall University. She had a career as a high school business teacher in Fairfax County, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gomer and Junelle Farley and her husband Uriel H. Leach. She is survived by her sister Carole Bowling, brother Dale Farley, her sister's children, and grandchildren, and several cousins.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Melton Mortuary and Cremation Services.  A committal service will take place at the mausoleum at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm where Janet will be entombed.
