Janet "Grams" Lenora Michael, age 88, of Glen Daniel, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2026 after a sudden health battle.

Janet was born March 4, 1938 in Montcoal, West Virginia, a daughter of Dayton and Margaret Peters.

Janet was devoted to her faith. She attended Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Janet loved her church family. The time she spent with them filled her life with love, friendship, and faith.

Janet was a devoted family woman through and through. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Janet loved them with everything she had and was as involved as she could be in their lives. She often called family with updates about the latest Cincinnati Red's game if she thought they loved the sport like she did. Janet enjoyed sitting down to watch the Cincinnati Reds play. It was one of her favorite pastimes.

Janet is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Dayton and Margaret Peters; brother, Roger Peters; and sister, Polly Ann Kirk.

Those left to cherish Janet's memory are her children, Michele (Kerry) Harmon, Mick (Kelly) Michael, and Katrina (Chip) Clay; grandchildren, Jordan (Cameron) Keane, Luke Michael, Tanner Michael, Lexi Michael, Taylor Michael, Kandace (Matt) Acord, and Kaitlyn (Drew) Crawley; great-grandchildren, Lilah Acord, Haddie Acord, Ella Acord, Josie Acord, and Georgia Crawley; one great-grandbaby on the way, Clay Crawley; brother, "Pete" Peters; and other nieces, nephews, family, and friends who miss and love her.

A Celebration of Janet's Life will be held on Saturday, May 9th at the Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 pm with Deacon Chip Clay and Pastor Kevin Kuhn officiating. The church is located at 274 Logan Tpke in Glen Daniel, West Virginia. All those who wish to show their love and support to her family are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church in Janet's honor.
