Janice Mae Jenkins, age 71, of Beaver, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia.

Janice was born July 10th, 1954, in Beckley, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Richard and Pauline Bowden Meadows.

She enjoyed watching football and racing, along with watching various classic westerns, such as Gunsmoke, Laramie, and Cheyenne. She also enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with family there. She also enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and spending time with them. She enjoyed baking pies along with making baked beans (that the whole family loved), and making lots of great food for family get-togethers during the holidays. She loved the deer that would come and visit in her yard, and her favorite one, "Scar" would always visit and enjoy her donut. She also loved her dogs, Pearl, Lady, Girl, and Frisky.

Janice was a kind-hearted person who loved her family and would do anything she could to help someone in need. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, and she will always be in our hearts.

Those left to cherish her memory include the love of her life, Charles Edward Jenkins, daughter Anna(Phillip) McDowell, and son Dale(Selena) Bragg, brothers, Tate Lewis, Roger Meadows, Johnny Meredith, Dennis Meadows, and Charles Clark, grandchildren, Ashley Bailey, Amanda Pack, Lillian McDowell, Phillip McDowell, great-grandchildren, Caleb Ramsey, Eli Milks, and Madison Bailey.

In honoring her wishes, Janice will be cremated, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial donation to the Humane Society of Raleigh County.
