Janice Sharon Gill, 65, of Nimitz went home to be with the Lord of Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Raleigh General Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born April 6, 1955 in Sandstone, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Novena Gill.
Sharon was a librarian for 20 years at Summers County Library. She enjoyed spending time with friends, family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Gill, former husband Joe Curtis of Shady Spring and grandson Randy Lake Cales.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are son Brian Gill and wife Pamela Gail Gill of Ghent; daughter Kathy Cales and Mike Ward of Nimitz; 5 grandchildren Mandy Coleman of Glen Morgan, Hannah Sizemore of Ohio, Brandon Cales of Hinton, Kara Ramsey and Mikey Ward of Nimitz; 2 great-grandchildren Travis Morton and Savannah Coleman of Glen Morgan; sisters Judy Hancock, Shelby Martin and husband Ralph Martin of Virginia, Jewell Bragg of Green Sulfur Springs, Joyce Hulse of California; uncle Ray Gwinn and wife Winnie Gwinn of Michigan; several nieces, nephews; special friends Erma Vest of Cool Ridge, Steve Gill of Jumping Branch, and the Webster family.
