Jeffery Kevin Bailey, age 64, of Mullens, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, West Virginia, after an extended hospital stay.
Jeffery was born December 19, 1959 in Mullens, West Virginia, a son of Douglas and Vergie Terry Bailey. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Bailey (Bolen) on December 24, 1981. Jeffery had been employed as a coal miner for 18 years, and then worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for 25 years until his retirement in 2022. Jeff continued working part-time at New River Community and Technical College with the PTA program. Jeff loved his hometown, serving on the City Council and as an honorary member of the Mullens Beautification Committee. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing poker at the Mardi Gras Casino, and binge-watching movies and reality TV.
He is survived by his spouse Elizabeth; two children and their spouses: Jonathan Tyler Bailey and Leighton Paranzino of Pine Hurst, NC and Jillian and Jeffrey Meade of Pflugerville, TX; two brothers and their spouses: Richard and Jamie Bailey of Palm Bay, FL and Terry and Ann Bailey of Greenville, SC.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mullens on Saturday, July 27th, at 5 p.m.
