Jeffrey Dale Lafferty

Jeffrey Dale Lafferty, age 48 of Oak Hill flew high to be with Jesus on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 6:09 am. Jeff was born January 30, 1973 and was the youngest of nine brothers and sisters.  He fought long and hard for his health as he was a strong fighter and made many comebacks but was ready to be pain free.  

He loved his kids more than anything and would call them every day to check in- those calls will be forever missed and the voicemails cherished. Jeff loved spending his time watching some of his favorite shows “Andy Griffith”, “Matlock”, NASCAR and baseball- going for car rides and most of all enjoying quality time with his kids and granddaughter. He was a loving and caring dad and pawpaw who loved with his whole heart.  

Jeff is preceded in death by a son, Jarret Lief Lafferty, parents John Raymond and Betty Jean Lafferty, brothers Mark, Travis and Carlos Lafferty.  

Family left to cherish his memory include his daughter Destiney Drylie, son Jeffrey Lafferty Jr, granddaughter McKinley Drylie; sisters Becky Smith and Robin Strong, brothers Joey, Johnny and Greg Lafferty as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Keeping with his wishes he will be cremated and there will be no service. 

"Not a day passes by, Dad that you don’t cross my mind. Not all of you departed when you left our earth behind."
