Jeremy Douglas Dowdy, age 47, of Beaver, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025 after a long battle with illness.

He was born July 08, 1978 in Beckley, West Virginia, a son of Hubert "Butch" Dowdy and Edie Farrish. Jeremy married the love of his life, Denise, and they spent 20 years together before his passing.

Jeremy graduated from Shady Spring High School in 1996. He was a part of the football team and enjoyed the time he spent weightlifting. After he graduated, he went into the Automotive Sales Management and Finance. Jeremy enjoyed spending his free time hunting. He never missed a hunting season. He lived for spring turkey and fall deer. Jeremy was loved greatly by his friends and family. His loss is deeply felt.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Lois Wolfe; bonus brother, Wes Withrow; close brother-in-law, Kevin Kirn; and some aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish his memory include his spouse, Denise Ann Dowdy; children, Kaley Dowdy, Morgan Dowdy, Cole Dowdy, Kase Dowdy, and bonus son, Will "B" Miller; parents, Butch (Sharon) Dowdy and Edie (John) Farrish; bonus dad, Mike Withrow; 2 grandsons, Cullen and Kainan; 1 granddaughter, Miley, and another baby girl on the way; and siblings, Ryan Withrow, Jennifer Dowdy, Josh (Stephanie) Dowdy, and Jessika (Will) Scott.

A private memorial will be held in Jeremy's honor at a later date.
