Mr. Jerry Wayne Gray 66 of Lester, West Virginia, was called home on Friday August 15th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at his home. Jerry was born on January 2nd, 1959 to the late Freda McMillion Gray, and Henry Gray. In addition to his parents, Jerry is also greeted just outside the Eastern Gate by his daughter Jennifer Gray, and brother Gary Lee Gray.

Those left behind to forever cherish and hold his memory close and await an oh glad reunion are his loving wife of 41 years Charlotte Gray, a son Joseph Wayne Gray of Lester, West Virginia; four grandsons, Joseph, and Jonathan Gray of Virginia, and Wyatt, and Henry Gray of Slab Fork; brother Henry Allen Gray and Tia of Raleigh WV; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will all miss Jerry dearly.

Jerry was a true Appalachian outdoorsman, enjoying spending time in the woods hunting and fishing, and enjoying God's beauty in nature. Above all his family was the most important to him and he cherished each and every moment with his wife, son, and grandsons. Jerry was a follower of Christ, and even though never attending church formally was rock solid in his faith.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center who are honored to serve the Gray family during their time of loss.
