John Potter Obituary

John Ivan Potter was born on February 23, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents John Morgan and Mildred (Mays) Potter. He passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Mt. Hope at the age of 59.

John is preceded in death by his parents John and Mildred Potter. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Deborah "Debbie" Ann Potter; children Josh Hooper, Jeremy Hooper, James Hooper, Johnny Potter, and Crystal Potter; grandchildren Kyra Lee, Willow and Briar Hooper; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

John and his wife operated the historical Mountainair Hotel in Mt. Hope as the Haunted Hotel for over 7 years. It was through this interaction within the community that John became a tremendous influence on the younger generation. He loved getting together with his family and friends and enjoyed online gaming.
