Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.  John was our rock in our family and we all counted on him to for his strength and support.  He lived his life like a wild ride, always eager to jump into a project feet first. He took his family along for the ride and we will have a lifetime of experiences and memories to carry us through. Hope you are in heaven seeing all the friends and family we have lost over the years. Love you my best friend, my husband, John Potter

A light has been been extinguished that will never be lit again.  We will miss all of those calls with Johnny's concern about our health, if we have power, if we have been flooded out, etc.
Sending our love, prayers, concerns, and thoughts to all of you.
We are here when you may need us.

Johnny will be missed.  His telephone calls to make sure no one was ill or checking to make sure were ok or that the floods hadn't washed us out or that we had power.
A candle has been extinguished that can't be replaced.
Much Love and many thoughts and prayers are being sent your way and of course, all of our sympathies.

Man, this was really a gut-punch to hear about this 2 days ago. John was awesome. I'm 33 now and I'd known John since I was 18 years old, first meeting him during the first ever Haunted Hotel in 2006 in Mount Hope, WV. I stuck with it for the next 5 Haunted Hotels in October each year. I think it was the final one in 2012 that I missed. John was easy to get along with and talk to. He was really funny and hip on computer technology to a certain degree. I had a lot of fun partying with him and having some drinks together. He lived life according to his own accord and that's admirable. Through him, I was able to make friends with Adam Patrick, John Jr., & Jimmy Hooper. He'll be sorely missed.
