John Robert Moore

John Robert Moore, 43, of Oak Hill, WV passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 after a long battle with diabetes. Born January 10, 1977 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of the late Harold Dean Moore and Barbara Jean Milam. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School and received his license as a Journeyman Electrician at the Academy of Careers and Technology of Raleigh County, WV. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Moore and his uncle, John Ellis. As well as his mother, John was survived by his son Justin Moore and his wife Alexis; fiance', Shannon Lucas; and her children Stephony,  Micah, Matthias, Sabina, Bobby and Zeke; sister, Jennifer Lytton; and her children, Brooklynn and Kendall Meadows; step-siblings, Elizabeth, Nick and his wife, Amanda, and Michael Milam; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. John loved fishing, camping, cooking out, being by the river with friends and family whenever he was able. Services will be 3 pm Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Melton Mortuary. The family will receive friends at 1 pm. A memorial at Sandstone Falls will follow at a later date.
