Joseph Michael Pierce

Joseph "Mike" Michael Pierce was born on March 19, 1960 in South Carolina to his parents Samuel and Louise (Cox) Pierce. He passed away on May 4, 2022 in Beckley, West Virginia at the age of 62.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Louise; and his brothers Sammy and David Pierce. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 26 years, Barbara (Massie) Pierce; daughters Stephanie (Greg) Mitchem and Kelsey (Scott) Pierce-Meadows; his cherished granddaughter Kiara Massie; sister Leslie Swift; sisters-in-law Sherry Gill, Tammy Willis; brothers-in-law Rick and Jerry Massie; special brother-in-law Willie Willis; his fur-baby Bella; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Mike loved to work with his hands and it showed throughout his career in construction. He enjoyed spending time in the garden planting and tending to his sunflowers. Most importantly, he loved to spend time with his family and cherished granddaughter Kiara.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of the staff of BARH and Hospice of Southern WV at Bowers Hospice House for their personal and committed care of Mike.
