Annette loved to draw, paint and crochet. She was a majorette in her younger years as well as played the piano. She struggled with mental illness all of her life but despite her disability she always had a smile on her face to the end of her life. She worked in food service until her disability took over. She is preceded in death by her father Rayburn Don Bolen Sr., her mother Mary Jewell (Pritchard) Bolen, and sister Bridget Robison.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Terri Lilly who became her healthcare surrogate after her dad passed away in 2010. Annette would smile and say “She’s my surrogate sister”. Also to the staff at Glen Rogers Manor where she resided and to the special nurses working in SICU at Raleigh General Hospital for the care she received in her final days.
A celebration of her life will be held at Cales Chapel in Coal City WV on July 12, 2020 at 3:00 pm where she attended in her younger years. Pastor Wayne Browning will be officiating. Everyone is welcome.
