Judy Ann Day

Judy Ann Day went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8, 2023 while surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Danny and Mary Sams, and an infant sister, Deborah.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 54 years, Benny Day and her 3 children , Daniel (Stephanie) Day of Roanoke, VA; Adam (Tanya) Day of Woodbridge, VA; and daughter Amanda Day of Nashville, TN. She had 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Madison and Jordan Day were also her adopted children. She also leaves behind her sister, Patricia (Bruce) Richardson of Surveyor, WV.
Judy was a member of Ghent Missionary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and sang in the choir. She loved to read her Bible and crochet.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 12 - 2 pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Melton Mortuary with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm with Reverend Pete Pack officiating.
Judy will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park following services.
