Kathleen Toler Obituary
Kathleen Toler, of Fairdale, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 in Rich Creek, VA.
She was born on September 9, 1927, in Rita, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Andrew W. Toler and his wife Flossie Bias. She married her husband, Charles William Toler on April 3, 1947, in Pikeville, KY. Together, they had three daughters Drema, Judy, and Connie.
As a stay at home mom she embodied the best qualities of a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She shared unconditional love, strength of spirit with her family and friends, and unending generosity. She enjoyed creating art including painting and sculpture. She loved reading and crossword puzzles. She will be missed.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Connie Susan Toler McGuire, and grandson Richard Charles "Chuck" Crawford.
She is survived by her sister Lorraine Whittington; brother James "Sonny" Toler; her daughters Drema (James) Gates, Judy (Richard) Crawford; her grandchildren Bridgett Crawford, Matthew (Mary Ann) McGuire, Courtney McGuire, SCPO Andrew (Tiffany) Crawford US Navy (Retired), Melanie (Trent) Pepper, Melissa (Chuck) Crawford; and her twelve great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 am. Kathleen's light shines in our hearts, forever cherished, never forgotten.
