Kenneth Charles Richardson, Sr

Kenneth Charles Richardson Sr, age 91, of Bolt, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia.
Kenneth was born April 26, 1931 in Beckley, West Virginia, son of Peyton Thomas and Elsie Mae Richardson. He married the love of his life Dorothy Ann on December 21,1954.
In his younger years, he loved his riding horse, Polly. He was a proud veteran who honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1970, serving in several different bases, including the Korean war. He purchased the family farm in 1970. Every year he raised a huge beautiful garden that everyone enjoyed. He drove a school bus for over 20 years and loved every minute of it. He and fellow Air Force veteran Bobby Joe Shumate enjoyed working together on their farms. When he retired from farming, he enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and visiting with his friends.
Besides his parents, Kenneth was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy Ann Richardson and sisters Tootsie Adkins and Willadean Gunnoe.
Those left to cherish his memory, include his three children; Theresa (Sam) Stanley, Jennifer (Brad) Acord, Charlie (Rakel) Richardson and brother Jimmy (Terry) Daniel. He's also survived by his grandchildren, Jeri, Nena, Brandon, Samantha, Birgitta, Tomas, Chase and seven wonderful Great-Grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
A private gathering was held to celebrate his life at the family farm on Sunday, March 19th.
