Lily Ailene ( Brunk) Deck 89 of Beckley, WV passed from this life into eternal rest on Saturday, August 30 at 3:30 A.M. at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Ailene was born October 28, 1935 of Brooklyn, W.V. She was the daughter of Late Sidney and Lelia(Pittman) Brunk.

Ailene became a born again Christian at 11 years old at Church of Christian, Pax W.V. She was a member of Church of Brethren, Crab Orchard, 70 plus years. Ailene and Arnold started a gospel group(Gospel Tones). She was a teacher's aide for Raleigh County Schools for 3 1/2 years. A counselor for W.V. school for the blind, Romney, W.V.

Ailene was preceded in death by the love of her life and soul mate of 63 years husband: Arnold Deck. Three sisters: Yvonne Stover, Wilma Turner, Patty Lively; Two brothers: George(G.G.) and Paul Sidney Brunk.

Those left to cherish her memories are her Sons: Mark(Janet) Deck, and Kevin(Debbie) Deck, Tracy Cross whom she thought as a daughter, and her daughter Chelsea Hicks; Grandchildren: Corey(Mindy) Deck, Kara, Chase, and Madison Deck; Great-grandchildren: Samuel Deck and Maddy Cox all of Beckley. Several nieces, and nephews, and her faithful Fur-baby: Angel; Also Ailene's loving care-givers: Kim Tichenor, Nancy Waugh, Karen Waddell, Kay Alderman, and Lynette Thompson.

The family would like to thank Bowers Hospice House, for all love and care shown to Ailene, and the family. Pallbearers are family, and friends. Donations of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern W.V.

A funeral service will take place for Ailene on Friday September 5th, 2025 at the Church of the Brethren in Crab Orchard, W.V. at 2:00pm with Pastors Norman Hamm, and Jim Campbell officiating. The family will accept friends beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
