Linda Lou Sawyers was born on January 1, 1953 in Princewick, West Virginia to Frank Kamits and Lillian Gertrude Utt-Meadows. She went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 24, 2021 in Beckley, West Virginia at the age of 68.
Linda was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Ison; brother David Utt; and her parents Frank and Gertrude. She is survived by her loving companion of 30 years, Charles "Big Aaron" Sawyers; sons Charles "Little Aaron" Sawyers II and his fiance' Samantha Lambert and James Wilhelms; daughter Lynn Simms; grandson Nathaniel Ray Ison; sisters Melissa Naylor, Diana Hansford, Faye Hockett, Phyllis Green, Barbara Rakes; brothers Chris and Tony Kamits and Ray Meadows; her fur-baby, Lady; and many extended family and friends who will dearly miss her.
Linda was a devout Christian who was strong in her faith who loved to go to church and fellowship. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, going to the beach, and sitting by the bon-fires with her family. No matter where she went, she never met a stranger and enjoyed talking and conversing with everyone to hear about their life stories. Linda was an avid animal lover and it showed by her commitment to caring for the neighborhood animals and her beloved dog, Lady.
